Hi, Joanna, my name is Beatriz Alessi. I am a columnist for Tempo de Mulher, a multiplatform project for the empowerment of women in Brazil, which is hosted by MSN. I read your column in the HuffPost today and it really inspired me. I have had my own battle with cancer since 1999 (lymphoma) and I know it takes courage. I would like to write a column about you to inspire our readers. I wonder if you could send me the photo and the sketches that illustrate your piece. Just the other week, I wrote a column on Jennifer Tress’ You’re Not Pretty Enough project. She read it using Google Translator and really liked it. I hope you will agree to it as I think telling your story will bring hope to many women. Check out my column on Jennifer Tress, if you can. Thanks and best of luck to you. (By the way, I am Beatriz Alessi on Facebook).
I just read your artichle in the Huggington Post about Foobs. It was so good to hear someone tell the truth about it. I have had my Foob for almost two years an have not yet decided to go back to get the nipple resonsructed. I had enough!! I’m was also so glad to know that I am not the only one who will no longer sleep in the raw. I also wear a camisole or short lingerie. My husband has never said a word about it. I know he understands. Please continue to write and write the truth. Stay strong.
